Specialized Bicycle Components has issued a nationwide recall of approximately 11,100 Globe-branded Haul ST and LT electric bikes (e-bikes) due to a fall hazard. The recall affects specific models with a telescopic seat post that can break when the lower portion is fully extended, putting riders at risk of falling and injury. If you were hurt by a Haul bike, call our product liability lawyers for a free consultation at 800-337-7755 or chat with our team today.

Recalled Products

This recall covers 13-inch telescopic seat posts originally equipped on the Specialized Globe Haul ST and Haul LT e-bike models. The name “Haul ST” or “Haul LT” is printed on the bike’s downtube. These e-bikes were sold both in-store and online by authorized Specialized retailers between January 2023 and March 2025, with retail prices ranging from $2,500 to $3,500.

Reported Incidents

Specialized has received 13 reports of seat post failures. In two of these incidents, riders sustained minor injuries, including bruises and scrapes, due to falls resulting from the seat post breaking.

Hazard Description

The affected e-bikes pose a significant fall hazard. When the telescopic seat post is fully extended, the lower portion may break under the rider’s weight or during use, causing the rider to lose control and fall.

Remedy and Consumer Action

Consumers should stop using the recalled Haul ST and LT e-bikes immediately. Specialized is offering a free repair, which includes a new seat post constructed from a different material. Owners can schedule a repair through an authorized Specialized retailer.
