Let Us Fight for the Money You Deserve!
If you purchased a Sea Breeze-branded window air conditioner and experienced mold exposure, respiratory illness, or property damage, you may qualify for financial compensation. In June 2025, Midea issued a national recall of over 1.7 million U and U+ window AC units—including Sea Breeze models—due to a defect that allows water to collect inside the unit. This standing water can lead to mold growth, putting your health and your home at risk.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall after determining that Midea-manufactured AC units—including those branded as Sea Breeze—can accumulate water due to poor drainage design. Inhaling airborne mold spores can cause health problems, particularly for vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and people with asthma or immune system issues.
These Sea Breeze units were sold from March 2020 through May 2025 at major retailers and online platforms.

According to the CPSC, there have been at least 152 reports of mold forming in these recalled air conditioners and 17 confirmed cases of people developing related symptoms.
If a defective Sea Breeze AC unit caused health issues or property damage, you may be able to recover compensation for:
